Looking for outdoor tablet? No.1 X5 is the answer!

Following on from their popular range of rugged smartphones, No.1 have taken their rugged know how and used it to make a 7-inch rugged tablet.

Rugged Android tablets are few and far between, and are generally marketed at the professional looking to keep connected while in extreme conditions. The No.1 X5 aims to bring those same rugged features, and connectivity to a larger audience.

Off the bat there are features on the tablet that make this device perfect for outdoor use. The X5 uses a 1.3Ghz quad-core MT8732VC chipset offering LTE support for bands 1/3/7 (WCDMA support include 1/2/3/8). In addition to LTE there is GPS support too, perfect for using maps while in the wilds.



The rubber finished body measures a huge 18.9mm giving the tablet plenty of room for NFC, a Class K loud-speaker, 3 axis gyro, micro SD support, and a massive 10,000mAh battery.

Screen specs are modest with the 7-inch panel having a a resolution of 1280 x 800. Other specs included a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 2 mega-pixel front, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. The tablet also obviously runs Android, but from the official No.1 Specifications there is no mention of which version of the OS is used.

As for the rugged protection the rubber body is IP67 water and dustproof. The chassis is designed to withstand crushing forces and shocks, plus the display is a toughened scratchproof panel.
